Munro leads PwC Ireland's retirement and pensions consulting business. He advises companies, trustees and regulators across the Irish market on pension strategy.
His work includes scheme funding negotiations, benefit design, pensions as part of transactions and insurance for pension liabilities. He also advises employers on providing security in their pension scheme using corporate assets in capital efficient ways.
Munro supports companies and trustees as they navigate the changing Irish pension regulatory regime. This includes the implications of the transposition of IORP II in Ireland, and the forthcoming introduction of pension auto-enrolment.
Munro is a member of Pensions Council which advises the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection on matters relating to policy on pensions and represents and protects the consumer interest. He is a leading commentator on the subject of pension plan regulation and design.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and joined PwC in 2005.
